ome are 502# I believe. Thats a solid point though, I don't have a plate bumper and don't plan on getting one tbh so the 600s (I'm assuming just the normal 2.5 vs right?) would probably be better, the whole front end said and done would probably end up being a winch w/ synthetic line, tg tube bumper, and skids. Ill do some more research and see what I think but for now they'll be on my wishlist lol

I did a little redneck engineering today.

I was missing the seal around the air duct into the air box for the used Volant CAI I purchased. Emailed Volant last week to see about ordering their 14.5" trim with rubber sponge. No response. So I went to Ferguson plumbing supply and bought an $8.60 donut shaped compression seal, item code PFSVQTGM:
    IMG_3709.jpg
I cut it off right after the first ring, took 100 grit sandpaper to the inside of it and hand spun it on the paper until I could just barely get it around the air duct tube:
    IMG_3710.jpg
The air box opening fits right between the two rings, tight. The air tube with the gasket pushes tight against the box opening:

I don't have much experience with the performance shocks but FWIW a buddy of mine has Icons on his 2nd gen and I had 881 on my 1st. To me the ride felt about the same for the little bumps and rocks but for the big stuff the Icons soak things up much better.

Is there a specific thread for the comparisons or is it just a handful that comes up with a quick search?

This was the one I was thinking of:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/king-vs-icon-vs-fox-racing-coilovers.203714/

Haven't read through the whole thing though. Take careful note of who's opinions your choose to value. Lots of misinformation on here when it comes to performance suspension.

Filthy Motorsports/Crawlopedia out of Boulder is also an excellent resource. He's working on doing an comparison on all the high-end shock brands. His youtube videos are very informative as well.

Thanks! I'll definitely have to take a look into those. I've just kind of assumed digressive, linear, progressive were the only differences and the ones that were the same had a color difference haha

Nope, there's a lot more than that.

    There's a few reasons I don't have Icons... ;)

It really helps to make the wheel well gap seem smaller, need to find some screws for the unfilled holes tomorrow though to keep em from flapping in the breeze
