Just wanted to see what you guys think of this quote I got. Since it involve Spindles I thought it would fit in this forum. Too expensive? It's a reputable shop in San Diego.

Bilstein 5100 adj. front struts - 2 hours
Maxtrac 4" lift spindles with front brake lines - 4 hours
OME CS096R Heavy duty leaf packs -2 hours
RCD/Bilstein 5100 extended length rear shocks - .5 hour (Extended length u-bolts , Full bushing/sleeve kit, Maxtrac cb drop bracket and brake line extension bracket kit -don't need extra labor charge)
We charge $97.5 an hour so for labor total you would be looking at around $830 plus you would need an alignment which is an additional $69.99

To mount and balance tires is an additional 1 hour so $97.5 plus a $4 dollar tire fee per tire so now you would be at $1012.50
To get that size tire and wheel on your truck you would have to do some trimming and a cab mount chop to avoid any rubbing. For this we charge an additional 1.5 hours which is $146.25
For all of the above you would be at a total of 1158.75

Not sure about the Cab mount chop since all I wanted to do was 285 and from what I been reading on here I shouldn't need/want to do CMC with Spindles.

    Thanks!

My opinion that is way to many hours for front of truck, i would think 3-4 hours total, 1.5-2hrs per side. To change rear leaf springs in the back, will require rear shocks to come off, so that is another extra 1hr, i am thinking it is about $300 high. I would maybe check around or get some other shop suggestions. Maybe go to Cali forum and see if other shops are located in the area.

@Tacoma3GEN yea that's a loooooot of money. I found the SouthTexasTacoma group on FB and had a member there do the install for me (I helped and learned of course). Saved me a lot of dough..It took us all day but only because he had never done a spindle lift so it was new to him so took the longest to do the driver side and once we got to the passenger side it only took like 20min or so. So find yourself a group of guys in your area and pay them with some beer! lol

Ya spindles can be done very quickly or slowly. It all depends on who you have there with experience

Good idea! Yeah, money don't come easy and it would take me more hours working just to get that amount. Also drinking beer sounds more fun when you're not drinking by yourself. :drunk:

I have 1.25" spacers in the rear and it evened me out with the front Maxtrac stance. I don't think .75 would do it.

I'm sure 6112's are super nice, and if you got it, go for it. However, I'm on the 5100's all around and it feels great. Waaaaaaay better than stock.

    Thanks brotha

Tint is Llumar High Perf Ceramic
    5% on the back/rears/sunroof
    18% on fronts
    50% on windshield
    It's definitely dark

I'm about to redo the graphics soon. Maybe do a little roll call down the side, I dunno yet. I keep tossing around designs.
