Pa does not tax retirement income. I am a State employee trying to get to my date, 1/14/2024. Hopefully I will have a Grandchild or two by then!

Thank's Rob, I appreciate what you and all the other younger people on here do. You are a good husband, father and most importantly Grand Dad:D:thumbsup:.

Best day of my life was when the daughter handed me my first grand kid. I went from a nasty, miserable, wouldn't tolerate any of my kids crap to a loving, caring, do anything for the grand kids grand parent:D. Hang in there Doug, it will come soon enough.
It is nice not having ones pension taxed by the state:thumbsup:. Now if only the Fed's would follow I'd be really happy.

Mn. taxes my military retirement and if I make it that far is one of only 12 States to tax Social Security retirement. Too bad they don't do exit interviews when you move from a State... The Admiral I hunt phesants with bought a house in SD while he is overseas in Australia and just the difference in State taxes paying SD vs. VA. taxes will pay for his house in SD in 4 years. So there are other tax based factors to consider also, although I don't make that much money LOL.

That date looks so far out there until I realize it is already 2017 how the hell did that happen?! 6/3/2023 so only 6 months in front of you. Although if I go to 12/7/2013 will be a little bit more money. But not enough to make me want to stay and work. Have yet to meet someone that is retired and said they wished they would have worked longer than they did. If anything they say they wished they had retired sooner.

No worries though, I go back on shift tonight, with any luck I'll get a solid before work nap this afternoon/evening. :)

Good luck with that. I almost always get a nap in before work. Speaking of sleep it's about that time for me.:bored:

And yet I think too quiet would be worrisome as well, at least out of sight and too quiet?

Best day of my life was July 4th 1991 when I was blessed with my only Son! He started messing with me right out of the box by kicking he feet around and one foot lodged between the handles of the scissors I held attempting to cut his cord! With some help I got the job done. Ready for that absolute feeling of joy to happen again, but everything in time.
