Aftermarket TPMS

Hey all,
Try and make it short and sweet. Ordered my Tire and Wheels from SD wheel online. Long story short wrong tpms sensors were installed. They've made it right and sent me back the correct ones (Huf brand) according to Huf website I made sure they sent the UVS3031. Had Walmart swap out sensors. Those Jabroni's couldn't program. Said they'd "automatically pick up" after certain miles/minutes. Well no dice yet and according to huf site that is incorrect and they have to be programmed (imagine that). I know the issues most have had with the tpms and aftermarket Wheels/tires. I have read many posts about these issues and I called my local Toyota stealership and they quoted me $700! For Toyota tpms to swap em out. I think that's robbery from everything I've seen/researched. I just didn't know if anyone here with turd gens had experience with these huf uvs3031 sensors?

 

That price is crazy. OEM sensors can be found for less than 70-80 bucks apiece or better. Mine have never worked since the first rotation. The yelloow light is out so I can live with it.

Got to discount tire. They'll swap them for around $50/$60 (each). Had to replace a few on my wife's 07 4 Runner and they worked perfectly.

 

My new wheels and tires roll just fine without them silly sensors.

 

That's the way I look at it. As soon as mine stop working I'll remove the LED light out of the gauge cluster and be done with it.

 

I'm hoping I can get somewhere to program these huf sensors now. If not I'm gonna ride a while without worrying about it.

 

In an update to this. Went by loca tire shop today with an ATEQ tool and had no success. Then got on the horn with SD wheel where they may or may not can send me oem sensors (I'm doubtful).

 

If anyone could confirm the correct oem tpms for alloy wheels would work for my application (have alloy- moto metal) is 42607-06030 ?

 

Wondering almost the same. Thinking about buying wheels and tire pkg from Discount tires. They offer TPMS sensors for $248. My current setup is SR5 alloys. Do I need to add the Sensors from Discount(or any other online retailer) or can my current ones be switched over? Anyone had recent experience with this?

 

Jarhead, alloy to alloy should work fine. I went from steel to alloy and had to "rig" them to work. Worked until the first rotation, then no corner readouts.

Can anyone confirm this as correct for me. Company sent wrong tpms sensors after I told them the correct part #. Unreal. Just want to go oem and end my misery. I have found a used set and refurbished ones on eBay.
