Just received my shiftsense unit. I'll post a review later tonight. I don't have the new chip yet...it's in the mail aparently so I'll be testing the original chip.

You are actually traveling a longer distance than what your onboard computer says. If you can fill up your tank, drive a known distance, fill up again, and divide distance by gallons (not what the computer says you drove) you may find that your gas mileage may be better than what you think. With the larger circumference tires the computer, which reads tire revolutions, will think you have traveled less distance than what you really have.

No different than using ECT or S shifting all the time, and Toyota included those options.

Order 1092 recieved and installed today. I tucked it under the forward cup holders and I can make out the beep in the middle of everything else beeping on startup.

Time will tell how durable and functional this unit is but so far I am pleased. I only put 16 miles on it today so take my thought for what they are. I cracked a smile everytime I hit the gas and didnt have to wait for that downshift anymore. When I took it up to 70+ I had no complaints. It liked to stay around 2000 rpm up to 3500 which I am just fine with. With the speed limits around here I drive in the 85/90 range often. So far i am not feeling all this focus on shift points in the 70's. At those speeds I want responsiveness to keep on accelerating.

Thank you for bringing to market this affordable, plug in module. I was getting tired of dropping out of 6th all day long but I have a lot of miles left to do before I get to really know what this can do.

Got it installed. I like it. I could tell the difference as soon as I pulled out of my subdivision. My pet peeve before was the truck seemed to always shift into 4th way too soon while I was still accelerating. That seems to been remedied now. I only went on a short test drive and didn't get on the freeway. I will post an update if my opinion changes after hitting freeway speeds. Great job OP!

I decided to tuck the unit away as shown in the photo. Hopefully it stays put because I want it out of view.

Thanks again OP for getting this shipped out with a quickness!! Will be testing it out on my commute into work tomorrow morning. Installation took maybe 10 minutes. I installed the box under the center console and on the left side of the shifter. I'll report back after i get into work.

Order #1089 shipped on May 22nd

Well... the good thing about being order# 100 and something is they got plenty of practice soldering. I feel bad for some of you that got the first orders. Cold solder joints, etc. :)

The OP is a genius!!! My truck drives like its supposed to! My commute to work consist of mostly gradual climbs on the interstate combined with the usual headwind. My truck would bounce back and forth between 4th and 5th gear to maintain 65-70mph during the climbs. Now its able to hold on to 5th gear!

    FYI I'm lifted on 285/70/17's.

I will do another update once I add additional weight (RTT and CBI Rear bumper) next week

Looks like Cedar Taco with order 1092 is the furthest up the ordering chain to receive their SS Pro. Many of us with orders made after that are waiting. I am order 1150. Any chance those receiving could post their order number so us "waiters" can ease or build the anticipation?

Man, that scares me, leaving the factory low on ATF.
