I sprayed both of my 2nd Gens with anti-rust and never had any rust, will be spraying my 3rd Gen with it too.

Good point. I was bored and wondered what his justifications were going to be. I realized that his behavior/arguments don't make any sense and now I'm all triggered. Bravo Smitty, master troll.

Whatever homie, I have like 3 posts in this thread. I don't give a shit. I appreciate Smitty's insight.. he seems to know a lot about vehicles in general. And I'm just amused at how worked up this guy is getting... spouting his superior logic skills and espousing bullshit arguments with logical fallacies.

You deconstructed one of my arguments which I applaud and I recognize my wrong. You still fail to say anything about my other points. Please, point out to me my logical fallacies about any of my other points.

Very difficult to hold a civil debate with the individual who is so emotionally charged.

Are you ever going to address my points or are you going to ignore them? If it's the latter then you can make any irrelevant comment toward my emotion.

The fact is regardless of anything that happened in this thread you are really screwing yourself by keeping your truck. You're losing money and you need to sell it ASAP. Otherwise you're just beating yourself.

I don't really feel like going back to read through all of your fragmented, overly emotional and (incoherent at times) ranting so I've decided to throw the towel in on this circular discussion. Time for a beer!

40k for a DCSBOR is pretty expensive, but if he lives in the bay area or socal then it's not outside the realm of possibility, it's just a bad deal as opposed to an outrageously bad deal. If he didn't get the tech package that's a different story.

And very true, sometimes there is no rhyme or reason. I made that mistake today assuming so.

Ahh, the classic "I don't care" response. Well bye Smitty, it's been fun, cya next time! Hopefully you'll have sold your truck by then.

He has already promised to keep trolling TW regardless of whether or not he gets rid of his. Kind of proves everyone's point that it has more to do with his personal issues than his problems with the truck.

MSRP on mine was 39,900 ....after tax and fees over 40k is very plausible

I agree it's not typical, but i paid 39k flat out the door. I also got only about 100 over invoice. How is that possible you ask? California sales tax, almost 10 percent. It sucks I know, but again, not outside the realm of possibility.

Oh yeah, same with oil pressure sensors in these models. I haven't seen many 5.3 Vortecs oil pressure sensors of that generation or the 2007+ last much beyond 120k miles. It's like clockwork. Worst of all, the GM dealerships want over $600 to install a new one.

Which one, the Tacoma or the 4Runner.

4Runner yes, Tacoma no, but the Tacoma is an SR, 4x4, 2.7L, Manual, so they are pretty much proven at this point, or at least I hoped :D
