In full disclosure it was over about 240 miles but all at 60-70 so that definitely helped, it was on some 2 lane highways. I've also gotten as low as 14.5 on an all city stuck in traffic and lots of idling

On the note of Toyo vs GM, even if I didn't have a 3rd gen, I wouldn't give the twins a look. We have a fleet of about 150 Tahoe's and they are pieces of shit. Granted they get run hard, but the shit that goes wrong on them is non stop. 2007-2016. Blah.

On a side note, buddy of mine got rear ended in his 2014 Tacoma. Original repair estimate $22,000. But since the frame was coming from Japan in 12 weeks, they offered to total it out (which he originally asked for). Gonna pay him 32K. Not bad at all for a truck he drove for 2 years.

 

Tahoe 5.3 broken timing chain.. new crate motor with 35,000 miles.. when the last time you found a broken timing chain in a 4.0
