My mom left Liberty Mutual after someone rear ended her. Basically the whole thing was left for her to take care of. File the claim, etc. whereas when she had Farmer's the insurance guy was very helpful and would keep her up to date and in the loop. Opposite was the case with Liberty.

That's actually crazy how messed up the truck is and both of you walked away from that. 2nd gen ftw. hopefully your insurance company doesn't fuck you around with the compensation.

I'm glad to hear that you and your girl are okay. It sucks about your truck but it's metal and plastic, replace the truck with another Tacoma. Again glad you guys are okay.

Guys little help: any of you in an accident, did you submit anything about your suspension? Did they pay for it? My Dad is telling me not to mention it, even though it is really only just coils and rear shocks/leaf springs. Not like I had LT suspension on it.

    This is all so frustrating!

Yeah, under $500, it's probably not worth it. Stick to the big ticket stuff.

Well, it definitely wasn't under $500 though. I bought the whole OME setup from OK4WD for about $1000, then I also bought Camburg UCAs and miscellaneous stuff from Wheeler's for $650.

I just want to know if insurance will even pay for it.

Yep. Remember this is on his insurance. Got your receipts? If so show them to the person who is working your claim

Lawyer the fuck up ASAP hombre. You never know how many years down the road you'll have a wildly huge sneeze and your cervical spine goes tits up from the trauma of this accident.

Go to the hospital. Get an MRI, X-ray, see a specialist that's got an eye for auto crash victims.

Says MT next to your name. Were you in gear when you got hit?

I always heard bad news about insurance companies not paying for suspension upgrades to trucks. And also heard if it's not within the past 6 months they won't pay?

Yes I was on the highway when I got hit.

For the lawyer, they told me that I won't yet much because I don't have a permanent injury. How do I get them to pay for something that 'could' happen down the road?

How do they know anything you substained isn't permanent? Find a new lawyer tell the one you talked with to kick rocks.
No one knows the future but if you have back issues from this they won't go away. Speaking from experience.

Sorry to hear about your vehicle.

I would be calling every other day to Liberty. Get it moving!
State your needs, don't let them TELL you what you can/can't get.

There isn't a redo on this...

I got hit on the hwy but wasn't in gear. Semi teed up on my ass. Pushed my speedo from 2mph to 50mph. Could've driven home except no lights.

You need to get those tests done ASAP. See a doc. Don't be dumb.

Drunk drivers are scum. They should lose their licenses for a minimum of 5 years, or permanently if they kill or seriously injure someone else.

Unfortunately... They'd do it again, and again, and again, and again. They don't care, they just wanna get smashed and drive anyway. A license means nothing.
