Going to Earls ford Rd to camp this weekend? Anybody from here going? First time for me so I was just curious if any of the members from here were going. Has anyone been before and should I be cautious about anything?

You must not like big fires, can't fit much wood in it. Also why you people like putting big heavy things up top to raise your center of gravity? @Acerwin already tippy without that.

Would love to get out there, it's been a few years.
Unfortunately, headed north for the holiday.

    Dodging tumbleweeds
This time of year means it'll be super busy. Especially on a holiday weekend. There's many many campsites. Lots of drunk loud rednecks. I remember when I first camped there with @ChamYota , we saw a chevy hauling a trailer loaded down with every piece of junk out of some rednecks front yard. Including a drunk man in a recliner. Mosquitos can be a PITA in summer. Please clean up your trash, a lot of people don't. Ask @Boogyman about the last time we camped there this winter. If you camp somewhere between the creek crossing and river, prepare for horseflies in summer. Also, no cell phone service for 20 miles to or from camp, possibly more.

I will probably try to camp there or a nearby place next weekend. Busy this weekend.
