    hello,

I'm new to the site and prolly have a newbie question lol.

I recently had a 6 inch rough country lift installed and it appears that the rear is a good 1/2 inch to 1 inch lower then the front.

Most lifts I have seen, the front to be a tad lower due to the weight of the engine, is this correct or do you think something could be wrong?

    Thanks for the help

measure from center of wheel hub to bottom of fender to get your numbers. ready for the captain obvious answer.....you will need to lower the front, or raise the rear most likely  not trying to be a smartass. if you cant lower the front, throw a small block in the rear maybe ?

Probably just the way it sits.

Do you want to raise the rear at all?

    Welcome, and

Thanks guys for the quick replies. I don't mind throwing a block in the rear at all, was just curious as most lifts I have seen in the past are lower in the front a tad and not the rear.

Probably just do away with that and get Dakar leafs and a smaller block

Or you could go with All Pro leaf packs

Or you could go with a custom Alcan leaf pack and no block

    Lots of options, sweet truck.

Well if you are already running a 6" lift then chances are good that it has blocks in the rear, so you would have to replace those with a bigger block.

Looks good, how do you like it as I have looked at this one a little? I have noticed searching some people state they need to add extra's afterwards to make all things correct, does it drive good?

This front high lean isn't that bad. Hey just get a heavy off-roading front bumper and that should even it up nicely. :D

    This^

While I have yet to get a lift on my truck, lifting the proper way is much better than the less expensive, easier way. Blocks are unstable and can wreak havoc on other parts. I recently saw another post of a guy on here who got a block added to his back and immediately saw why this advice is oft given.

So, this might be another newbie question lol. If I was to replace the block with the leaf spring option, which ones would I be looking at?

    Thanks,

You need to figure out what height you want the rear to be

I've got Dakars and they gave me 3" lift in the back and I have no complaints with them

^ a lot of people will go this direction because they are not very expensive for what they are. You'll probably need to put a 1 or 2 inch block in there tho if you are running 6 inches of lift up front to get rid of your bro lean. Some food for thought.

I would do Dakars with an OME AAL

That will be more or less 4"

These trucks come with more or less 2" rake from the factory

So with 6" up front, 4" in the rear will level you out.

I like my truck to sit perfectly level

    Just my preference

    5" front
    3" rear

Hub to fender measurements are dead even
