    Yes, some real pushy Amsoil salesmen in here. I didn't run mine at all before I tore it down, cleansed it of imperfect Chinese lubricant, and packed it with 20$ worth of racecar grease.

    And mine works after being submerged from being stuck in those mud holes and lakes.

    Yeah just synthetic grease. I went and got some Mobil 1. I also never ran mine before dissembling it and changing out the grease. 4 years later it still works great. I've seen numerous winches, owned by people in this thread, die in the time span I've had mine.

    You trying to copy me? Haha my OEM axle boots lasted 110k miles before I finally replaced. Since then (5k miles) I've replaced all the boots twice and have holes in 2 of them now. Very fucking annoying!

    Haha I know. I'm a traitor. No one sells Amsoil in stores around here. It's either I buy from them direct and wait for shipping or buy something else from the store. I ain't got no patience. When I wanna replace the grease in my winch, it's now or NEVER!!!

    i've been looking around and seeing stories of warns blowing up and harbor freight specials running great o_O

    whatever i end up getting i think i'll try to get it hooked up pretty quick and just do a drag test to make sure everything is working properly

    but at $464 with a $30 mail in rebate, this smittybilt is looking pretty good
