Who Ended up with my Tacoma!?

Hey look at that. The thread actually had a good ending.

 

They started with internet price of 39,6xx, after talking with sales manager and walking out a few times they sold it to me for 38,000

 

Congrats on the new truck bro. Now prepare yourself for the Man With No Name and Captain Stubing to try and convince you of how much you actually hate your truck.

 

That truck is bad ass. You got a good deal with all of those upgrades. Congrats on the new rig.

Brendan did a excellent job on bumper, I was underneath the truck for a half hour looking at installation of the bumper and suspension, looks amazing. Thinking that was my tipping point to buy. Never seen that style bumper before.

OP says he sold it for 38,500. You say you bought it for 38,000. I smell a fib.

 

Not necessarily. Maybe OP was more concerned with OTD price and didn't care how the dealers moved the numbers around. They could have given him less money but charged less on the new truck and came to the same number.

 

I don't think it is a fib. Well at least here in Az raptors sell as soon as they are unloaed off the transport truck, that is if there not sold before they come into the state. If you want a new one you can wait up to 3 months to get one.... oh on top of that exspect to pay 10k above msrp...

So the dealer just made all he $$ back on the sale of the raptor and can sell the taco at a loss.

 

Dealers aren't in the habit of taking a loss on a truck like that.

the 38,500 the gave me surely was just purely shuffling numbers around. Im sure they added a bit to my new truck to offset the high trade in they gave me.

I assure you the dealer didn't take a loss on it. The numbers you look at when your buying a vehicle are not the numbers a sales manager looks at when selling you a vehicle.
