I made a thing for switches because the thing I wanted didn't exist.

@forty2 Have you done or considering doing a switch plate that fits in the useless square hole on the console?

Do you mean by the cupholder in the auto trans trucks? If so, the thought never crossed my mind. I have a manual and the vast majority of the stuff I design starts as a solution to a very specific problem that I have. The rest is stuff that others bring to me and this hasn't come up yet.

Yep, that's the spot. I would love to have a 2-switch panel there. There are a couple other members that have said they're looking into it but haven't updated with any plans to produce. Any chance?

Ya. Would be cool for switches too but I don't want to deal with running wire and possibly cutting stuff in the center console. I'll probably get the coin holder at some point. And then this threads OP pane as well. Love the no cutting part

I love the panel in this thread. Planning on doing one of those, too. The console thing would be really nice for my horn and compressor switches. I need to get to them quickly sometimes and just doesn't work over on the left since I drive with that hand. (Don't anybody get their hair all kinked up. I use the horn only for the worst offenders.)

I would just drill a hole small enough for the wires in the bottom so I can cover it up with a small rubber mat if I ever removed it.

Ya the spot is nice but it does kind of take some muscle memory to hit the switches while driving. I have my light bar switch and rear light switch near there to flash people who cut me off and it usually takes some fumbling around to hit the right one

That's a good price on that Mictuning panel. Way cheaper than the SwitchPros set-up. That might be the way for me to go. I can lay that panel over the square hole and double-sided tape it to the console. Then everything will be right there.

That's what I was thinking. I just don't know how reliable that switch panel is and don't want it to look like shit. I'd rather have less buttons for now and have it look clean. But I'm already maxed on space with my cubby currently pulled out and my ARB switch flopping around cuz I was going to order this and then found the switch panel. Plus I'll be adding 2 more side lights for camping to my bed rack so that's 2 more switches and I'm back to no room. No way I'm paying for an sPod either

Yeah they don't openly state a warranty. I'm going to email them.

I need to get my hands on that trim panel off of an automatic trans truck to determine feasibility, take measurements, and check fitment but just from looking at pictures I see no reason why it can't be done.

If you get the notion, depending on price, I am in. I know everybody can't make everybody's whim. If I can get you any measurements, let me know. Happy to help.

I have a manual as well. I wish we could get a mount designed that fits into where that useless phone charger bay is. Even if it didn't have cut outs for switches... Just something that offered a plate that could be cut/drilled for mounting options.
