Have been circling this idea in mind last few weeks and ...WHAM! someone already made it.

Is the glow effect another set of LED or is it just diffracted light.

They are perimeter "raptor" lights. Red for parking lights, switch to amber for turn

would you be willing to reveal how you wired up the switchback's to the reverse/turn? That is a great way to get an yellow blinker back!

 

You know what they say about magicians and secrets... haha.It's all in my build thread^. Just a FYI these are not a normal bulb and require modification the the light socket.
These are tail lights on steroids.

Dude you need to source this out to China. I can't see how you gonna solder 200 leds per side. You will be spending the rest of your life soldering to make $300
