Thats the problem with the other guys and their "we cover 99% blah blah blah" Where you travel to is where that 1% is, and personally, Id rather spend as much of my time where the 1% of no coverage is to be completely honest. I HATE being around the 99% of the population.
And if we wanna be completely honest, Id rather be where there is NO cell coverage whatsoever. I dunno what percent that is, but thats where id rather be.
    Fuck everyone.

I'll look into that. Why would you consider that route?

Are you getting rid of, or have you already gotten rid of the Tacoma?
Because if you still have that why do you need a daily driver to haul Kayaks and bikes and shit? Just some whatever shitbox would work.
Or, drive the Taco as your daily driver, because unless you need a 2nd car, it doesn't really pay to have a commuter car. The expenses of maintaining 2 cars outweigh the savings.

    A. Same car. The STi is just a trim line of the WRX with a different drivetrain and some frilly bullshit.

    B. Been there done that won't ever do it again. My 2015 WRX was cool, dynoed about 300HP 330TQ when I stripped it and traded it in. I had every available bolt on beside a larger turbo and a CTT pro tune. I babied it most of the time and still managed to smoke a clutch in 8k and I know how to drive a manual. Everyone says shit like "I'll keep it stock" or "it's going to be my DD" but the Subie world is just as addicting as trucks and before you know it your 10k+ into a car that once again sucks as a DD.

I'd buy a forester, grow my arm pits out and go hang with the rest of the lesbians in my Birkenstocks drinking craft beer and eating hummus.

This difference of the 2 is pretty straight forward. The Sti has a better transmission for power, has more power, and some sort of differential bias. Like 70/30 split or vice versa. Basically comes down to cost for someone

It's called Si drive and it's basically an advanced traction control system, older 2.5l motor, 5 speed trans and some factory supported performance mods, hence the "different drivetrain" comment but nice try, thanks for playing.

Si Drive is the throttle by wire mode selection,
DCCD is the center differential that allows you to alter the torque split between 50/50 F/R to 35/65 F/R and a few steps in between
    STi has a 6 speed
It is an entirely different drivetrain... STi is an EJ25 mated to a 6MT DCCD, WRX is an FB20 mated to a 6MT with a vanilla 50/50 center diff

The STi always had the EJ25, WRX'es over the years have had an EJ20, an EJ25 variant, and the FB20 and previous to the latest gen always came with 5MTs.

The XT is actually pretty neat, imagine a more utility focused WRX hatch without the boyracer fixings and a little less HP for the sake of mileage. Foresters are cool ass dykewagons.:headbang:

    Touché

    However

I was trying to keep things in terms of differences very simple terms cuz realistically no one on the Toyota forums really gives a fuck how a subaru works. Just saying... It's some sport mode bullshit and fancy traction control variant that the majority of people who buy one or will never use or never use properly. long story short, I wouldnt buy either one...again. Plus I don't vape so kind of defeats the purpose of owning a subaru. I was the minority. It's late I'm drunk and I really don't give a fuck.

I've spent quite a bit of time under a subaru lately and I agree, I don't give a Fuck how a Subaru works because I'm convinced they don't.
