Auto zone only carries the passenger side which I thought was odd. I'm just trying to pin point what's making the noise. It's a clunk everytime the truck dives on a hard brake. Also I noticed my steering a lil cockeyed. Like it's easier to turn to the left than the right. Rack and pinion is not leaking and bushing are brand new

So, Im looking into sliders (after I pay off some debt :() but i notice that most people run them pretty far from the body, I wanna run them real close, maybe half an inch away from the rockers, would I be safe doing this? I want them to be hardly noticeable if possible...

Depending on how how mean close to the body, either from a horizontal or a vertical viewpoint, defeats the purpose of a slider. If only 1/2" away from the pinch weld, then the slider will end up making contact with the body during body movement and/or slider movement. If only 1/2" out past the body vertically, then they are giving you no protection from trees or rocks trying to take out your doors. So basically of you want sliders that won't actually work as sliders, just get some bolt on step bars. They are cheaper and easier to mount.

Only plan is to get the tire out of the bed. Those things take up a LOT of room. Possibly mount one of the big ammo cans I have on the other side. The tire is going to be offset.

Probably put a 2" receiver on the bottom so I can put one of those little hitch baskets on it too.

I see most trucks with sliders similar to this:
    rs01_p1lx.jpg
But Im looking more for this but maybe higher up, idk if its just the angle here but these look wayy closer and more tucked in than most, I do want/need them as armor though I just hate how far some people have them sticking out. Im just picky lol

Yup. They don't have run flat inserts in them though.

Most companies typically will build them flat or a 15* angle up. So basically you are looking for angled without a kick out. Can you weld? 4x innovation has some options you might like. And the price is right.

Angled up with a kick out. Otherwise, you'll wish you had. IMO.
