What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Got a oem bed mat today. Going back and forth on if I want to put a shell on my truck. Debating between the ARE V and Z series. Any of you own one of these? What are your thoughts? Anything you've noticed that you like a dislike after owning it for a bit? What would you upgrade if you were to do it all over again?

 

I have an ARE Z... like it a lot... install a pop a lock when the dealer installs the cap if you don't already have one... I got the optional interior LEDs, prop switch and key FOB locking latch and Yakima racks.

 

I got my bed mat today as well. And door sill protectors. Really like the OEM bed mat!

 

I have a Tacoma (TRD OR) on order (so I don't know), do they or do they not come with the door sill protector? Or is that something I should order in anticipation?

It's a factory accessory you can add. If you didn't add it during the ordering process then it won't have them.

It is an added accessory. I would wait until you get your truck to confirm if it does or does not have. If it does not, you should be able to order one from one of the many dealerships on here. I get all my factory stuff from @gunny1005

 

A few trucks ago I bought new rims! Had a bad vibration too! It ended up that one of the new rims was bent. Just have the spin the rims with no tire on it. Just a idea.

Holry Fawk I finally got different tires! I compromised with a smaller yet very aggressive and bad ass looking 265 75r16 C General X3. A little vibration as expected with a new MT. No perceived difference in power loss which makes me extremely happy to know that towing ability will be minimally affected. Alsoworth noting that balance beads were necessary to get these smoothed out.



The pictures don't do it justice but the red walls look good with inferno and the tire looks nice on stock OR wheels.

Was a little busy. Boss 3.0 Suspension Lift with Add-a-Leaf. If anyone wants, I am selling the stock OR suspension w/ or w/o my Motofab spacer lift. PM if you are interested.

 

Finally cut it up today. I've had my Demello bumper for over 2 months now, but life got in the way. Nothing like destroying my perfectly undamaged bumper!

 

Don't think of it as destroying, think of it as improving.

Went to a local shop. Hydrodipped for 30 bucks. A non glow in the dark is 5 bucks. Countless designs to choose from. He gets it from gobigbrain.com if anyone's interested.

 

@SilverTacomaGuy Looking to add the same size STT Pros on a stock suspension 3rd Gen Off Road. Any rubbing or is your Tacoma leveled/lifted?

Tip... Put down a tarp before you load loose mulch, dirt, or gravel. It will prevent the stuff from getting in all of the seams and also makes it a lot easier to get the last little bit out without having to scrape a shovel across the bed. You can just drag the tarp out.
