For my luck, my diff leaks and I'm not covered by recall... I'm covered by warranty but according to dealer, it is not severe to fix and should drive it as is. No hesitation to call corporate lol

They tend to lock up when all the fluid leaks out....

I'm due for 5,000 tire rotation. I don't see that happening for several months. So I should be fine. Last time I looked no leaks.

i don't care for the looks or the layout. acceleration is good, it does shift better than the tacoma.
it doesn't lock up the torque converter immediately after going into 4th.
the ride is softer than the tacoma sport, i like the grab handles on the drivers side.
the bed seems smaller, could be my imagination.

Agreed...I like the features of it--but it looks dated....Hope Toy will offer a engine/trans that works....I don't trust Nissan.

Do you need to know, or care?
Yes, this was me this week. Dealer said they performed recall even though I have not received the letter. They told me when I do receive it, ignore it, they have already tightened the bolts.

I'd be ok with that as long as I got the big block. :bikewheelie:

if tightening the bolts is the fix then why are keeping my truck and giving me a loaner until they have a fix for it?
they should at least replace the gasket if it was leaking.

I am so disappointed and frustrated with Toyota. I had my 2016 Tacoma for just over a year and I was so happy with my truck. I had a 3 in lift , 33 tires and 20in rims put on the vehicle and many after market items, everything was just right till I took my truck in for an oil change to the dealership about a month ago. Thats when they notified me that my truck was affected by the recall and I was no longer able to drive it. Toyota offer to only pay for a Camry as a long term rental vehicle but eventually provide a 4runner so I could at lease carry part of my equipment that I need on my truck for work. My truck can be sitting up to 8 months awaiting parts for repairs, If I am lucky. It is more than just a gasket in my case. I have spoken with Toyota to try to move to a model not affected by the recall without any success, they want to treat this a regular trade in and we all know how that goes!

Their excuse is that Toyota doesn't know how they are going to fix this yet. The dealer is waiting on Toyota to give them the fix.

They just grabbed my TRD Sport and gave me a friggin' Prius! It has only 139 miles on it, but it is a POS. (stands for "Prius of Shit" my family has nicknamed it!)
