The problem with trees is that they are never prefectly vertical and tend to always grow towards your truck.

    Just getting started
Check out Stubbs welding. I have sliders from him. Great quality, and I received mine in about two weeks. I like them a lot.

I have the TG ones welded to my truck and they will be hacked off as soon as I've got the free time to deal with that headache. I bought them without doing any research when TG was doing a big flash sale the first month I owned my truck because I knew I was going to need sliders. They took an entire day of finagling and welding and working on them to get them on and the brackets all didn't sit flush. 2nd on the kickout also, I've got a nice basketball size dent in my bedside from having sliders with no kick out, which is the second reason they're coming off.

I say go with kick outs. You want your kick out to basically run in line with where your eventual rear tires will stick out to. That way you have a smooth protected transition when scrubbing a tree or rock.

Also it's all about camera angle, and angle you set your sliders at when it comes to rocker protection. Here is my truck, you hardly notice the sliders from this angle.

Mine are almost touching the pinch weld, so much so that I bent the pinch weld over so it doesn't make contact when the truck flexs.

You want them angled up as high as possible, while still being able to open your door and not have them hit.

Here is a side view that makes them look a little less nice, but still it's pretty tucked.

Bolt on vs weld on isn't a matter of strength anymore. Good bolt ons are just as good but let you easily repaint if you need to. I wish I could have afforded bolt ons. Weld ons are a fuck ton cheaper though. Honestly best bang for your buck weld ons are 4x. Also if you get bolt ons you cant set your angles like you can with weld ons.

I know you had a shitty experience with them but Scott was good to me.

Faster than relentless was way back when they started... pretty sure it took Ant like 9 MONTHS to get his bumper and the wait a year or 2 ago was almost a year and a half

So my rear passenger brake drum is making a nice noise like sand paper whenever I come to a stop... think its time for new brakes in the rear

    Clever.

SZ and GM should work together on a full set of armor and bumpers thought.

Just like @cynicalrider mentioned. Weld ons let u angle them a lil better. I am also a witness of how a pain in the neck they are to weld on. It took Ryan the whole day with no pee runs to finish my sliders. 1 inch away from the cab I think it's what he did. You def don't wanna go too close either.
