You guys might want to reconsider and cough up the cash for the double if it is for tires and such. The small one only has a 50/50 duty cycle.

@harrisonfaulkner can confirm that the small one gets pretty hot if you do two sets of tires......

You think adding a one gallon tank would help with that? $500 is pretty expensive for an air tank

 

It should definitely make it easier on the compressor itself. Just make sure you stay in the duty cycle to avoid damage to the unit (30min on / 30min off).

@Sleipnir im going to mount mine passenger side, rear of engine bay. This will force me to use dual yellow tops if I ever go dual battery, but thats all good though

 

You mean that's where you are mounting the compressor or the aluminum tank? Can't do twin batteries on mine because of the vacuum system in my truck

 

Going to mount a 2 Gallon tank where the spare tire was.

The compressor is actually in the engine bay right where the washer reservoir is. Used the slee bracket, expensive AF but unfortunately the best option....

 

You still can do duals, just two where the factory battery sits. It's a little cramped, but works.

Thats where I will mount the compressor. I have seen a couple of 3rd gen threads where folks used the slee mount and were able to mount the 1 gallon tank on the underside of the mount and the compressor on the top.

Are you doing the single or the twin? Just looked on Slees site and the single bracket is $45 for 2nd gens. Then I'll drop the spare and mount a tank there.
