I'm not sure if this is the same issue but my truck stays parked in my driveway at about a 10 degree angle left to right with the left being higher than the right side. When I open my door after a rain my entire driver's side is full of water - not just a little but a lot. I've never had one do this. I'm afraid it has to be getting into the carpet and headliner.

My guess is their Root Cause Analysis process failed. Meaning they never found the correct problem to begin with....but I've been wrong before.

Water leaks equal mold more often than not. A very thorough clean up and drying process has to be undertaken or you have yourself a long term mold issue. If this was mine they might as well start ripping out the insides of this truck and replacing interior components starting with the carpet and dash...

When I worked at a Lincoln Mercury dealer we saw leaky cars a lot. We would gut the interior and hang the carpeting up to dry. You'd have to sit on a milk crate to move the vehicle then we would have 1 guy in side and and another guy start hosing the vehicle down. Sometimes it was a bad seal or gasket other times the factory seam sealer wasnt applied properly and we would have to recoat the seams with seam sealer. Hardest part was trying to fine the actual leak and sometimes there was more than one. Check the blower motor area under the hood I've seen a lot of them leak from that area, especially if it's coming behind the glove box.

manager said he'd take everything out and clean it. i saw the youtube post. i think he said it was a tac? a weld tac? that wasnt welded thoroughly... idk. all i know is it flooded and was in shop 23-24, which is one day. i dropped off 25 and they said it'll be a few days since they have to rip apart everything and clean it plus find the culprit. if they dont get it again i will call corporate and just try the lemon law thing to get my money back. guess im going back to hatchbacks if this fails... im not angry as i should be tho.... guess with all the complaints im become numb and was just counting the days til some shit hit the fan LOL. 3rd gen self esteem issues :p

I had a Chevy do this for two years and they couldn't ever find the leak. When warranty was up I traded it in. Lost a ton of money on that deal. IMO don't take it back till they guarantee it is fixed, and if it happens again, what they would do about it.

Oh didn't know that. Has anyone looked into whether more tacomas with issues come from Texas or Baja? Just curious.
