Need Advice

I'm currently running 5100's up front @ 1.75 and had the tsb done about three weeks ago on my 2010 double cab. I'm thinking about purchasing the Toytec 3" lift with front coils & aal. Do I have to change the settings on my shocks or would you recommened leaving them at 1.75. I want the truck as close to level as possible.

Why are you getting the three inch kit when you already have the Bilsteins? If you want three inches, just set the Bilsteins at the top notch (2.5") and get 10mm topspacer kit. Better setup, and less money. Then just need a single AAL kit or a 3leaf AAL kit (depending on how you use your truck).

 

I've just heard about alignement issues with Billy's @ 2.5 I really dont have a place or tools to do the work myself, so I wasn't sure if taking taking the shocks off, re-setting them, and putting back on would cost the same as adding the coils or not. Sorry I'm new

How long could I run the Billy's @ 2.5 with a 1/4 spacer without different UCAs before it starts to wear on the tires too much. I mean I'd eventually get them to help out alignement but cash is kinda tight right now.

 

The Alignment issue is when you do any kind of suspension lift at about 2.5"+. It is NOT a tire wear issue. It is a drivability issue. The caster gets low and the vehicle will tend to wander. A lot of people don't mind it and drive it how it is. And a lot of people decide to get the UCAs to bring the caster back up.

 

It won't affect your tire wear. Just drove me crazy(pun intended)! You can go without them but if you got the cash they are deffinately worth the money! You can get the lr uca's at www.fatbobsgarage.com for around $370.

 

As long as you want!
If you go to a good alignment shop, they should be able to get the alignment into specs to where you don't wear tires.

But the UCA's are the way to go!
