    I have a friend with two homemade trailers. One is basically a box with an open top, so good for sand and mulch. The other is more like a car hauler, but it's a little narrow and has limited tie downs so it's aggravating to use as one. He painted them the same color and only registered one and just moves the plate back and forth to whichever one he needs to use.

    Plus the roll down rear window! I sometimes wish I bought one instead, but at the time an '05-'06 double cab limited TRD off road with reasonably low miles was barely cheaper than my 2011 Tacoma DCLB.

    I may look at a new Tundra or an F-150 next spring anyway. My miles are getting up there and I'm not sure how many breaking things I will want to deal with.

    What do you consider "up there"? My 07 FJ has 180k. Still going strong, only things to fix are shit I broke being stupid or maintenance stuff. Why have a payment when you can fix something that's perfectly functional for a lot less. Just my 0.02...

    My 02 taco had like 180k when I sold it, and again besides maintenance related things it was perfectly fine. Unless you need more space/ power for towing I'd say keep it.

    About 120k. Probably be up to 150 this time next year.

    My other concern is value on mine--starting to notice it decline a little quicker, mostly due to mileage. I could probably swing a new truck without a payment by next year, or worst-case pay most of it and just have a tiny loan on the remainder.

    I keep going back and forth. I'd go through one more winter with mine at a minimum anyway.
