My problem isn't really sand... It's going 70 80mph for miles down roads like this...

This thread went downhill. I think *QUALITY paint protection film is a fantastic idea, and there's no better application than aggressive tire/off-road trucks.

A vehicle is an investment....in that your ROI is reliable, fun transport for many years.

I don't see my truck as an investment that will gain dollar value over time, but I would like to mitigate it's deprecation as much as possible. It's going to depreciate...that's a no brainer. How much is partially dependent on how well I take care of it.

and this is one of the handful of reasons I decided it was safe to borrow money from the bank for the tacoma and not for a frontier or ranger or anything in the mid size pick up realm, these trucks have a great re sale if that scenario is needed to be played out

    Well put

Definitely not a monetary investment - but an investment for lifestyle and fun

Tacomas have the highest resale out of any car in the US. The better condition you keep it in, and the more someone trusts that you took care of it, the more you're going to get when you sell it.

As an accounting and finance guy, I can tell you that a car/truck is probably the worst "investment" you can make, but the good news is that with a Tacoma you're probably going to get 80% of your initial outlay back hahaha

Not sure exactly about the most, but yea in general terms the Toyota and the Subaru are nearly impossible to beat in the resale category, that being said I think they are pertaining to 1st and 2nd gen tacomas not so much the beloved thurd gen :anonymous:

just busting your chops here bud, not bashing you for keeping your new car as new as possible, just more teasing you for saying it is because of re sale and not because you adore a clean car

How stable are they with all that desert running? I'm considering them or just some PIAA upgraded halogens. My cement shows up shortly so I would like to order them soon! :)

I haven't had any issues. Really happy with them. But when I'm in the desert I turn on the baja design lights... Those things are insanely bright.

You're going to love it man!! Congrats
