My Truck Came in!!! But it's Wrong

they never gave me a vin number. i had the build date, but no vin. I double checked when they ordered that it would have what I wanted, but the dealer said that toyota changed it. again, i'm not trying to point fingers.
I have located a white one in ohio, but the search for a quicksand continues. May have to order again. But prob not from the same dealer!

 

Go to another dealer. That's the dealers fault not the manufacturer. I work for a dealer and that doesn't just happen.

 

Cowboy Toyota in Dallas has one listed just like you want it on their website, I think.

Damn! I've had one on order through Freeman Toyota in Ft Worth for months and finally ordered through a dealer in New Mexico who was able to get me a build date. Come to find out there was one right up the road!

There's a white one at Sterling McCall Toyota in Houston. Kinda weird though, it has the Premium and Technology Package, 6MT but I don't think that it has the tow package.

 

This really -really sounds like a dealer F-up -- like your sales person was hungover, drunk, high on something else, depressed, or just plain a stupid dumb-ass!! I bet you a dollar to a donut --he/she screwed up the order and the dealer is not admitting it? They OWE you a truck at a hell-ofa discount -- ask to see the original order sheet and if they cant produce it call Toyota corp. and take the case up the ladder

 

Betcha 5 bucks it has tow.

 

I bet someone is driving the truck; it showed up and before the tires hit the ground they sold it to someone else for mo money

Dude apparently doesn't want to say as it's been asked a few times. I'm curious too because I bought my truck in Iowa... and I assume that's where he's at.

I'm in Burlington, Iowa. working with another dealer now, that I have had better luck with in the past.

10 to 1 the dealer just sold it to someone else at a higher price. I would tell the dealer to go pound sand, and let them know your complaining to Toyota corp about their shoddy practices.

 

I'm 90% confident they're trying to sell you one they have on the lot just to make a month end sale. I'd call Toyota directly or call a different dealer to check on the status.
