Ya I was probably gonna do the same seat setup just different harnesses. Seeing Your build actually convinced me to think about caging mine. How are those prp harnesses working with the stock seats, good i assume?

Second gen double cab short bed rear body mount location. Have they changed at all? I'm mocking up some bolt on sliders and I've used two different trucks. The rear body mount is in a very different location on the 2012+ then it was on the 06.

Anyone have a mechanical locker on their truck? Not the locking hub switch kind but a shifter lever on/off style?

Not really a fan of E-lockers, I could go ARB air but not really a fan of the airlines, and it's a daily so I'm not interested in a Detroit

The harrop is an e locker but not like the old ones. Much nicer design. But you'll pay for it. Uses an electomagnet

I saw that and thought "aw sweet" but then I think electromagnetism is affected by temp extremes and I live in Kentucky where we have hot ass summers and cold ass winters

Maybe I'm overthinking it but I just feel like it could be an issue

    Yes
the frame did change a bit around 10' I think it was. The shape and size of the double layered areas and rivet locations changed at least once.

Need some advice from you guys, so I sold my truck last week (total chaos front, dmz rear). When the new owner came to test drive the lower uniball adapter bolt was loose, and ac wasn't blowing cold for some reason (I haven't been driving the truck and its been sitting). So I replaced that bolt and nut with a new one from total chaos, had the ac system checked/filled with freon, and smogged it for him.

He takes it home, goes on some trails, and the bolt loosens up. He takes it to a mechanic and tries torquing it down (not sure if he's doing it correctly). Now he sends me a vid with it on a lift and when its torqued down the wheel can shake back and forth, I don't know what could cause that, and it wasn't doing that when I sold him. Now he's saying it has electrical problems, bad brakes (actually fresh rotors and pads), and bad a-arms.

I have a feeling this is going to end badly so what would you guys do? I don't want the guy to be unhappy with the truck but not sure what to do in the situation.

edit: He's saying his buddy says the arms are toast, which they aren't.

Thanks man, yeah I don't want to be a dick but its hard because I didn't have that problem when I sold it. Plus them saying the arms are toast makes me know they're not that experience with long travel. Only thing I can think of is that they left a misalignment out when reinstalling that could cause play, or uniball play??? But the uniballs were replaced like 25,000 miles ago and it hasn't been driven hard, and would be a weird coincidence if it went bad a day after selling it.

They knew they were buying a built truck. It comes with that territory. So long as you were honest with the maintenance and use that the truck got before the sale, make an honest effort to give advice and help what you can. But anything that happens isn't your fault. And if they are gonna be a dick about it, then too bad for them. Dealt with a less dramatic, but similar deal selling my supermoto to a SoCal forum member and then asking advice when he changed a bunch of stuff and it wasn't running right.

Check the wheel/hub bearings. If they're bad and causing a vibration, that can loosen the uniball adapter hardware.
