Good find. I've been monitoring the site, but seeing nothing. I passed on the original Toyota recall inspection because I live in a dry climate, keep the undercarriage fairly clean and saw no external rust. After hearing they rust from the inside out, I want another shot at an inspection.

How do you get an inspection done?

Nice, I thought that the window for inspections had already lapsed. this suggest there is new life in it.

This only applies to certain 2nd gen Tacomas ('05-'10 apparently), the settlement recall for 1st gens has ended long ago. Only 1st gens that are still eligible are those that got the inspection done prior to the deadline several years back and got the 15 year warranty at that point. By now, only '02-'04 first gen Tacos can get a new frame, provided they met the inspection deadline.

In the FAQ section on the settlement website it says the truck must be inspected by a Toyota dealer. Isn't that like the fox watching the hen house? Do they have a way of checking for rust forming internally if none is visible externally and will they do that?
