    In my second gen I took a 1'x1' sheet of ABS and some double sided tape. Cut it to the appropriate size, screwed my holster to the ABS, and stuck it inside the console. Even in the FL heat it never came unstuck.

    Stock but with a Warn 10s winch Used to be a lightly modded Tacoma
    As a Canadian, I'm perplexed. If even .01% of these guns were ever used, it would result in a shitload of trouble. Why would anyone want to court all of those legal and liability risks by carrying an unusable weapon in their truck?

    Because here we can use them as long as you have a concealed carry permit (for the most part). For example, if someone came up waving a gun and was going to car jack you, you could fire back and be perfectly fine. (Again, this is a broad statement and obviously doesn't appply to every single scenario)

    Gotcha. Looks like I will be taking it off. I never even got down there and looked. Installing that holster mount just involves reaching under and hooking it and then pulling it tight so no need to even get down and look. My previous vehicle was an '03 Nissan so the only airbag I had was one of the recalled IED types. Not used to all of these airbags being everywhere in new vehicles.

    Murica. Everyone has guns. I'd rather be alive and fighting that trouble than a victim. Out in the woods, there are bears, they ate my bee hive at home.
    It's a defensive tool, not a toy. I hope i never have to remove it from the console for purpose. What's that scouting term "be prepared".

    I love guns. I have a ton of guns. I used to shoot competitively. But the gunshop cammando culture is odd. Everyone who has been around guns, ranges, and gunstores knows what I'm talking about (if you don't, you are probably the tackleberry I'm making fun of).

    I think its easy for guys to get draw into that "tactical" ,"I'm a bad ass" , and "need to be prepared" mentality.

    Then again this guy could be a cop. (Who can be just as bad or worse about all this, but it's more justifiable)

    Having an NFA item doesn't give anyone (DEA, ATF, FBI any acronym...) the right to walk up to your door and inspect or search anything without a warrant. I am not a lawyer, but I have one.
