    All the game that I saw was a hundred meters or less off the hwy. The mountain goats were a little more than 100m off the road in sections but with the color contrast to the rock face -you can see moving along the ledges. I drove looking for any FSR's that would bring me deeper into the woods but most of them were gated until June 1st. I imagine that a lot of the tourists go up into back country exploring unprepared get stuck and end up causeing grief for the conservation and Forestry workers....

    Definitely the most wildlife I've ever seen in a single trip;

    I have a very similar shot, except I attempted to keep going (wasn't a great idea).

    I was not able to go near the center of the trail and the truck started to slide towards trees. Ended up getting stuck and having to go in reverse for a while, and I put some new scratches on the paint in the process.
