Based on OP earlier post, the power is tapped from the shifter, not OBD port. The OBD power port provides contact 12V, where shifter power turns off when vehicle is off. Relocating the on/off switch does sound like an interesting idea.

Yep... power does not some from the OBDII port. If you want to put a switch in, that's up to you, but the device already has a switch, so not sure what the extra one would do since your initial idea was to save the OBD port.

Here are a couple pics of what I did. The OBD splitter cable is under the dash attached using some Christmas light clips I had, so it's pretty secure. I used zip tie clips to attach the Verizon Hum unit and OBD connector for the SSPro next to the gas pedal. The picture of the connectors is not the greatest, but I was trying to get to lunch.

I have noticed it decrease, but most of my driving is on the interstate for just a few minutes each trip, so the issue I was seeing was 4th and up. I'm waiting on the new chip to see if that helps.

Installed mine this morning, and was told I have the updated chip. Definitely noticed the extra pep and not the boggy upshifts, would be at where shifting around if an MT. I have added alot of weight over the year and a half since I bought it, bumper, sliders, canopy, E-Rated tires, ect. I am happy with the way it shifts with the ShiftSensePro for normal around town driving, although there is times I will and wont use it. I feel like I have 4 driving modes to suit depending on the situation.

Just installed mine... Here's where I put it. Good place out of sight, nice flat surface to stick to, and power button is still accessable if you ever need it.

Got the idea from a previous poster that put it in the same place.

Just wondering what kind of gas mileage you have gotten over that 800 miles?

16-17 mpg driving through Flagstaff, 18-19.9 driving through New Mexico and North Texas (mostly flat). Average speed is 75-80 mph. I'm lifted with 285's

Thanks, that's not too bad for being lifted and on 285s.

    Order 1115 received today.

Installed and I have to say 100xs better in the lower gears at low speeds. I always hated that it would shift into 6th when I'm doing 30mph. Now with SS, it hangs in 3rd longer which some are not a fan of, but I am.

Not to mention ever since I went from 245s to 285s back in JAN my mpg was never over 15.4. But just today after a 40min drive around town, I already got 16.4. Likely cause I'm no longer mashing the gas to get it out of 6th gear at low speeds and the highway.

I'll check back in a month on how the mpg adjusts.

No sir. The engine has no torque until it is wound up tight. I can't get used to it. I tried. I can't.
