Anyone know the best way to align the 4x4 badge on the tailgate so its straight vertically and horizontally on the driver side of the tailgate?

I was thinking of using the bottom edge of the V6 badge as a guide and measuring from there to the bottom of the tailgate to get vertical positioning. For horizontal positioning, measure the passenger edge of the V6 badge to the passenger side edge of the tailgate and place the driver side edge of the 4x4 the same distance from the driver side edge of the tailgate.

    Does that even make sense?

    Anyone have an easier way?

How do they do it from the factory? Robots?

Where were you 8 hours ago???

I actually ended up pretty close to this by doing what @bamfupinya suggested and using the V6 as a starting guide. I actually did that and replaced the V6 with TRD as well as add the 4x4 to help my "Proseur" look.

Looks good. I like the blackout effect compared to the stock SR5 4x4 badge.

If you're referring to me, I picked it up from a dealer who sells them on eBay fairly cheaply.

Ha. I parked next to a brand new F-150 at the grocery store a few months ago and the drivers side Ecoboost badge was installed upside down. o_O
