    Let's!

    Stock yota's wheeling!

I saw a sweet black lifted 3rd gen today downtown on my way to the new tap room.

I think this weekend is going to be a zoo locally.

Hey there...just watching your thread. I'm in the same boat. I'm stock and this is my daily driver for now...so I'm not ready to rack up some damage on the trails...need to make a few more payments first! However, I've been watching some of these YouTube clips, this one stood out as an easy trail. If you read the video description, there are some good notes and GPS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOkFHorUsNo

    Nice!

I can't wait for the thaw. Lots to explore.

Maybe a group run is in order? Super mild but exploring the Sierras.

Couple of dirt roads in the east side I've been wanting to do. Check out old mines and hot springs.

I was at work in Moccasin all day.

I'll keep an eye peeled! I haven't seen an inferno in town yet.

Maybe a day trip or a one nighter (Friday).

I'm up for an easy saturday at la grange.

I'm booked until 6/17 though. Kids and stuff. I could do the 17th.

Thinking about doing a master swim meet that day in Oakdale but haven't committed. A trip over the pass might be more fun...

Nice. Let see if the pass opens and do some upcountry exploring. If not we can hit up la grange for an afternoon or something.

Or maybe go out behind long barn. That's fun too.

Few of us went out to Stanislaus NF to hit some trails on April 30. Spent the day clearing burnt, fallen trees. Good times!

    This was the area:

    Sweet!

I've spent my formative wheeling/cutting wood years all over that area. Haven't done much out there since the rim fire though. Also some major washouts past the lower clavey bridge.

Let me know the next time you're in the area, I'll come help out!

Well, it was unintended. I had this thing all mapped out, we were going to cover a bunch of terrain. Then we discovered the first blocked trail. So we started clearing trees so we could get through. And repeat. And again. Made for a great day, just not what we had planned.

Yeah the burn plus a huge water year equals bad roads.

My brother and pops (about a month ago) went out past the lower clavey bridge towards lumsden and met a totally washed out road. They said 100yds plus gone. Road-cliff-road

Plus cottonwood is closed. It's all dead ends out there now.

We knew about Cottonwood in advance and turned at the closure. Didn't run into any complete washouts, just the downed trees. Funny story - at one point three people on horseback passed us on the trail and came back to bypass a really bad stretch by riding along a ridge to our right. Said it was too bad for them. 90 minutes later, we caught up with them again on the same trail. They were a little surprised to see us. :D

I think it was the road headed south after Reid creek. (Which you guys explored). They were headed towards the Tuolumne river.

That's funny with the horses but maybe that means the roads are more fun for my '85 jalopy...

Some of the funnest wheeling I've done is out behind duckwall headed north.

The roadbeds were all fine for stock trucks, not technical at all. The issue was that they were blocked by fallen trees. That is what turned the horses back. We were just too stubborn to take no for an answer. Axes, a winch and some hard work took care of it.
