Well, why else would you carry more than a standard issue battle load?!

As for the question above about how military/cops feel... I just SMH and go somewhere quiet. Thankfully my gun club requires you to be active duty, active guard/reserve, or an honorable vet. Though there are OME tacticool douchebags in our ranks. Favorite quote at the 200yrd line... is that a .22?!?!!

Ok gents, my comment was in jest. I have zero problem with law abiding citizens carrying whatever they want.

I place my Glock 30S in the center console when it isn't clipped to me. Stays in the holster at all times.

There's another thread in this forum on this subject that is a couple of years long with some good ideas. If you are a Blackhawk fan, there are some good quick detach examples.

I would like to carry a SBR under the backseat, but in this day and age it's just too expensive, for me.

It beats the heck out of ending up in a gunfight and not having a gun. It gives you options you did not have if you were unarmed. When seconds count the Police are minutes away at best. Many states have had legally armed citizens for a decade or more (Ohio has been since 2004) and the statistics all prove there is no harm and plenty of good.

I was wondering the same. Leaving it in a locked vehicle isn't negligent. Nobody is just going to stumble over it there, they have to act with direct illegal intent to attain it.

I don't know whether I would put a firing pin in line with a round next to something that is going to generate that much force. I am not a physicist but I think theres potential there.

This is what I roll with. I mounted it to the back wall behind the driver's rear seat. There is also a bike cable that allows you to tie it down to the seat. Beware cold weather (<10°) makes the batteries act up and the code work inconsistently.

Why do they need to know every chick you banged for the last two years? And what if it's was a drunken 1 night stand- no info exchanged? Or a hateful ass break-up/divorce and you no longer have her contact info? That seems quite excessive. I'd be screwed.

CA gun laws. Basically if its left in a car, it needs to be secured in a gun box/safe dealy. New law that, if I'm not mistaken, is actually more directed at officers. More of a liability than a criminal offense. It's highly encouraged to avoid leaving it in a car at all.

    OP,
A block out from the post office or the court house the EDC and holster goes into the map holder on the back of the front passenger seat.

    FWIW,
For long term, detach the backside of the driver's seat back upholstery from underneath the rear of the seat. Reach up in there from the back and you'll find room for a full frame 44 aimed at the asphalt and a handful of speed loaders.

Now were getting somewhere. Didn't even know about any map pockets. I knew I couldn't reach the floor with the console as it is.

Ah yes California of course. Don't all guns have to be in a California approved security container there even at your house? I remember when buying a safe seeing California approved stickers.

Not worried about discharging the gun, worried about launching the gun at 300FPS (about 200MPH) towards the drivers knees / dangly man parts.
