Got some goodies for the truck. Still waiting on a bigger transmission cooler to get here.

Lemme know how they feel compared to stock. I just installed an EBC kit last week and am thoroughly impressed.

Added steering wheel controls for audio and bluetooth. Wasn't too bad. only needed a new clock spring, both controls, connecting cable, and a new air bag cover.

Worst part was drilling out the rivets holding the cover to the airbag. After that it was smooth sailing.

I think i spent about $300 in parts/shipping, and 1.5 hours in time. Audio controls worked immediately. Bluetooth wont work until I install my new head unit. Tomorrow's project.

    Also painted the emblem.

That's going to make it difficult for the year range you are looking for. Tacos have crazy resale value.

I know. They're there (I'm perusing CL at work right now) but not in the exact configuration I want. I'm just being patient :playball:

Patience is a virtue lost on some. :) You'll find the right one sooner or later.

Luckily I may have already found it! 2010 access cab, 44k miles, 5 speed with a 4 cylinder. Waiting on some pics, so we'll see. Thank goodness because I'm impatient as hell. I'll wait if I need to, but I miss owning a tacoma!

    Too many to list.

When I was looking for mine we found a 2010 for 16k at local dealer. Took a ride, checked it out and we wanted to deal. I was trading in my beat up Dakota. As we're making a deal the salesman says 'I'll grab the keys and you can take it for a spin' I was stoked. It was a dark green TRD loaded. A couple of minutes later he comes back and says.. well, you see that couple over there? They just bought it.

I was crushed. Like when your girl breaks up with you type of crushing. I shed a tear that day. :anonymous:

Oh man, that's terrible. When I traded in my tacoma for my subaru last september, I almost cried on the drive home. If this truck looks good in the pics, I may road trip out this week since I don't have to be at work until thursday and seal the deal. Then I can go back next weekend with the wife and pick it up.

Shhhh, I know. At least now I get TWO vehicles and can now have the truck as a dedicated camping/trail truck. Plus now I have more experience under my belt and can build it up more efficiently this time since I know what I want.

I use Rain-X on my vehicles as well. I think the dealer must've put it on my '14 when I picked it up on May 1st. Saved me the time/trouble.

When I was talking with the salesman about 'looking at' the '14 Tacoma that I was interested in, I asked if I was first in line, and he said yes. The truck wasn't even at the dealers yet, but was coming in the next day. I've lost on deals before, and it isn't a good feeling. Glad it is a stand-up dealer, as they could've sold it to someone else anyway and told me to pound sand.
