So here is the where the coolant pink in color residue could be seen but was not dripping and this is why you could smell it sometimes dripping down bracket that connect to exhaust flange you can't see the residue anymore cause they cleaned it off it was just to the right of the bolt you can see in the light!!IMG_2028.jpg
    This is the part

These multi-headed plastic manifolds tend to get brittle and crack after a few years in other vehicle models (like the Nissan Frontier). In time this will probably become a $300 dealer-only part on 2-week backorder. Surprised yours failed so early. Yeah must have been a mfg defect.

I almost bought a 2016 third Gen until I stumbled upon TW and was able to access real world experiences people are having to deal with.

I"m going to pass on the overpriced Tijuana Taco and wait for the 2018 4Runner. Tijuana is famous for Hookers,Bull fights and cheap Serapes.

Quality built Japanese trucks made in Tijuana Mexico? I don't think so.

Finally remembered to check mine this morning. There is no clearance for me, the hose touches the bracket. At 19 months and 12,300 miles mine still looks brand new, so I'm not gonna grind anything down. I'll take a peek at it every once in a while during oil changes. Thanks for the pic of the location.

More 2017 Tacoma's are made in Mexico than in San Antonio. It's about 60/40 now and is heading toward 80/20 by 2018.Mexico will have a capacity of 160,000 units by 2018. Maintaining current sales at 190,000 to 200,000 units a year most Tacoma's will be made in Mexico going forward.

According to an Automotive News report (subscription required), Toyota will invest $150 million in its plant in Tijuana, Mexico, to expand production of the Tacoma midsize pickup truck.

This investment will add around 400 jobs at the plant and bump up its capacity to 160,000 units per year in late 2017 or early 2018 when the expansion is completed.

Mexico is at the bottom of the barrel for autoworker wages.

How do Toyota Execs. sleep at night.Toyota is the clear winner in the exploiting slave labor wage game."NAFTA"

Mexicans working at the auto factories get between $1 an hour to $ 3 an hour. Mexico’s minimum wage is 73 pesos or $4 a day. Hence auto workers earn much more than the prevailing minimum wage. Despite this Mexican workers are far cheaper since in all the developed countries hourly wages run into double digits. Mexico has many advantages for auto manufacturing due to many factors including the cheap labor, railroad and road transportation links and close proximity to the US.

As long as wages are cheap in emerging countries auto makers will exploit that.It is interesting to note that though auto makers have shifted manufacturing to lower cost countries prices of autos have not come down.

$2 an hour auto worker making my $37,000 truck?
