Bilstein 5100 help

    I'm new here and am trying to figure out the best lift option for me and I think I have settled on the 5100s after reading a ton of forums on here. What I can't find an answer to is what components I need. My goal is to achieve around a 2" lift. Can I get away with getting just the front and rear shock set and not get new coils or AAL's and still achieve a 2" lift? I have a 2017 DCLB with a Leer 100XR and a steel front bumper, would putting the front and rear shocks on the third setting achieve about a 2" lift with no coils or AAL's? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I ask a lot of them but I really appreciate all of the help on this site...

    If you have that much added weight get a leaf pack in the rear and some coils in the front.

    That's what I was looking at, thinking front and rear 5100's OME front coils, and Deaver 1.5-2" AAL. Would that be all I would need? Since Im staying under 3" I wouldn't need new UCA's correct?

    Yeah that's correct. I have 885s and 5100s on mine with a deaver aal. I don't have a shell tho....

    Thanks for all the help, would you reccomend the 886 to achieve about 2" since I have all the weight or do you think that put me nose high?

    True, I have the 885s with 100lbs added up front. Rides perfect and it's settled at 2.25 -2.5" so I can't complain. 886s if you have over 100 lbs would be my recommendation

    Cool, looks like I've got it all figured out now! Think Ill go with the 886's, 5100's front and rear, and the Deaver AAL's. On Headstrong the total is only $619, pretty good deal for a 2" lift! You guys helped a ton thanks!

    Depends on the shop. But you could always get with the local group from here and they will help you out. And you will make some new friends.

    I had a local tire and alignment shop install my 5100s all around (plus coils and AALs) for $260, which included an alignment.

    Some 'offroad specialty shops' in the area wanted upwards of $700 to do it...

    I should mention that I had the shocks/coils preassembled through Headstrong, otherwise the shop will charge more.

    I'd like to do that, on their website, however, it doesn't look like the kit comes is available with the 886's... I can piece it together but then there is no option for the assembly. Maybe I'll just call them after the weekend.
