Drove the truck all day long, had to run to the hardware store quick and the truck began to chatter violently when engaging the clutch into second gear. It's a new performance clutch and I had the fly wheel resurfaced when I replaced it. Any help?

So my window in my driver side won't go up. No child lock is not on, pretty sure it's the motor. Any way to get the window to come back up? No way I'll be able to get a motor anytime soon to replace it.

    Any help would be great

Do you guys know the specs on these older 4Runner / pickup wheels?

    IMG_0760.jpg

There's a set for $50 that I'm thinking of grabbing. But I wanna find out more before I make the hour drive.

I know they're 15" but I'm not sure if it's a 15x6 or a 15x7. I'm also not sure about back spacing. I've seen some folks run these on first gens but I'd like to know what I'm getting into.

Finally got my lift, wheels, and tires.

I'm a recent high school graduate about to go to college, so I didn't have the money to go all out, but I love it so far.

Just a simple strut/shock replacement with bilstein 4600s and a 2.5" daystar spacer lift with rear shackles

16x8 00 offset KMC XD128 in gray, and
    265/75r16 (32.0x10.5) Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx's.

Not the greatest lift, but the truck is as old as me and I wanted to do something nice, and I have worked hard at my job to be where I'm at IMG_7934.jpgIMG_7926.jpgIMG_7928.jpg IMG_7927.jpg

Also, before I had all of THAT done I had the frame rust worked on. Don't have pics of that, but it's was just a piece that welded on both sides in the area of the area of the leaf spring bracket. Truck doesn't look like it's gonna break in half anymore.

    Here are more pics.
    IMG_7847.jpg IMG_7848.jpg IMG_7849.jpg IMG_7850.jpg

Love my truck. Was gonna do this or get a full size truck. Made a good decision.

His name is Jeff by the way.

No. I got it done at 4 wheels parts. Took a lot longer than expected. They had to torch a lot of stuff off and get new LCA's and Cam bolts, but it rides like a dream.

Went to the junkyard today to pick up the stock seats out of a '96. My plan is to install some nice leather power seats out of say a Mercedes, or Audi, or maybe another import and weld them to the Tacoma rails. I looked at using universal racing seat brackets, but they were pricey at $125 each. With P&P's 50% off Memorial Day sale it's actually cheaper to buy the Tacoma donor seats, chop the rails off, buy some new bucket seats, and weld them on rather than ordering custom fit seat covers from say Wet Okole or Coverking.

I've been looking at seats from the BMW M-Series as well as the newer Audis since they tend to have the power seat function controller embedded in the seat itself. The benzes have it installed on the door card.

Here's the process of stripping the old gross 60/40 bench seats I bought at the P&P down to the bare brackets.

    IMG_2035.jpg IMG_2036.jpg IMG_2042.jpg IMG_2049.jpg

If you need brackets for a bucket seat retrofit you can use the 60/40 seats, or the full bucket seats. The bench seat will not work as there are only two brackets and not four.

Stabilizer link question for anyone... @Blackdawg :D... are the end links the same for right and left on 4wd truck? Camelback shows same part number for my application (01 DLX 3.4 Auto 4x4). Friend is installing them and said they were both passenger links. Checked camelback again and says they are the same, but all other sites (aftermarket) show separate part numbers. They look the same in pics, but I know that's not worth much. Anyone change their's recently have any input? Trying to know what I need to track down real quick to finish this job.

    camelback site (OEM):

    Rock Auto (aftermarket):

    Thanks in advance

That's a pretty good find considering what you were looking for. I'd imagine the earlier E class' are easier to work on opposed to my 2017 E. I 100% love the seats.

The sunroof? Yeah I think I paid $15 for the glass assembly. I was quoted $400 to get it replaced by Safelite. Took me a whole 10 minutes to remove the old glass and install the new one.

When I was at the junkyard, I looked through almost all the European imports they had. The only leather seats that weren't terribly damaged were the Benz leather seats. They were almost all in perfect condition, no cracks or rips. Only problem is the seat controls are in the door cards and not the chairs themselves.

You sure it's the motor? What you can do to test it is use a car battery or a 12v power source to test the motor. If you unplug the motor there will be two pins, put negative on one pin and +12v on the other pin. Reverse the polarity to move the window up and down.

If you don't get any response from the motor after testing it individually with 12v, your motor is dead. If your window is stuck open you will have to remove the motor and pull the window up manually and reconnect the motor.

Could be your regulator. My window has been acting up some time now. Occasionally it won't go back up but after a little while it's fine again. If I don't release the switch immediately once it's up it makes all kinds of popping noise. I've replaced the regulator twice already (this is 3rd time), ordered an OEM this time so hopefully it'll last longer.
