No shit those are the ones I need for the rear at least I think if i'm reading my notes back to myself correctly haha. If those have the valving adjustment then they are.

Also any input on the front CO set up? Was looking at kings as well for those the extended travel 6in with 700 lb coils remote resi and adj. valving

 

Shot you a PM. As for fronts, 700# coils seem to be reserved for folks with bumpers, skid plates, sliders, and a winch. I need to do more research on the spring rate but i would imagine i'd go for at heaviest, 650#.

See I have front, trany and transfer case skids with AP bumper 10k winch and ARB onboard air that's why I got quoted for the 700lb. But now i'm reading stuff on people saying ask for a 14 or 16" spring height too otherwise I will still sag up front or have to crank the preload to the point the ride sucks. Didn't know if you may have had any input on those ive researched for a week straight now like without sleeping and am seeing sounds haha.

 

Kings are 14" springs, going 16" will not change the preload you need. 700# should be just fine for all of that weight. You can always valve the compression side a bit stiffer as well, or just get the adjusters and manually set it.

Gotcha thanks for the info. definitely plan on doing the 700lb coils but i'm also trying to get the full 6in of lift since the truck the DB lift on it. Correct me if i'm wrong but would a taller spring not assist/ensure in getting the full 6 inches or is that just going to hurt handling?

 

Someone correct me if i'm wrong but coil length has nothing to do with lift. Two different length springs with the same rate will compress the same amount. If both springs are 700lbs, and you have a 2100lbs load, it will compress the same 3". When your truck is sitting, coil length under load is constant. It will only change if you add/subtract weight. Using preload to gain lift is just pushing the top of the shock higher above the spring top.

Preloading said spring will also increase the initial breakaway force required to start moving the spring again. With no preload, a spring will start moving the moment you touch it. With a 1" preload on a 700lbs spring, it means the spring is already under a 700lbs load, thus requiring a minimum of 700lbs to start moving. This is what can "cause" a rough ride. With no preload on a 5" travel coilover, load over travel range is 0lbs to 3500lbs. If you preload 2", it changes the travel load range to 1400lbs to 4900lbs. What this means is no preload will take 3500lbs to bottom out. 2" preload will take 4900lbs to bottom out. And 0lbs to start moving vs 1400lbs to start moving the 2" preload.

Great info man springs and gear ratio computations confuse the heck out of me I prefer sticking to engines, transmissions and autobody work.

So if i'm understanding correctly, adding preload to a spring to maintain the factory setting height due to the added weight will not necessarily negatively effect the ride quality but rather help it return to the coilovers factory ride?

I don't have the drop brackets for the sway bar
91-5813 - $26 summit racing
91-5816 - $26 summit racing
and the cross members are tweaked
91-3327 - $206 summit racing
91-3335 - $231 summit racing

so Basically I have
the spindles
the coil spacers
the brackets that hold the diff
the impact struts & the mounts for them

I'm getting ready to purchase a 6 inch kit for my 2017 Tacoma and I was wondering what the consensus is basically who has the best kit I am considering the Procomp or the BDS. The BDS I like the crossmembers but I don't like the 4 inch rear block. The Procomp comes with a smaller block and add a leaf . Which kit drops the lower a arm the most? Which one keeps the CVs the straightest. Or does somebody recommend a different six-inch kit
