bilstein 5100 ride quality?

    Led pod fog light inserts, kn cold air intake, Bilstein 5100 with 2 inch coil combo and progressive AAL. Touchscreen pioneer stereo and infinity components with 2 kicker comp r10's and jones turbine exhaust
    I currently have rough country shocks in the rear and the stock bilsteins in the front, when eventually I upgrade to the 5100s how well will they ride?

    Unless those shocks are badly blown you're not going to notice a huge difference. They're just oem replacement shocks. Nothing magical about them, but they're decent stock replacements. Worth the ~$300 though

    They ride much better, and have more travel than the stock base model shocks. Other than the adjustability, I don't know how much they really differ from the stock Billies.

    i just dont wanna dish out the 300 if they arent really going to ride better i just know the stock shocks are going on about 8 years old and have 102k miles on em so i figured if im gonna replace em all,even the rough country in the rear i might as well do it right and get some good ones

    You might notice a difference if the originals have that many miles. It's not going to turn your truck into a trophy truck, but it might ride slightly better. :notsure:

    i understand i just couldnt decide which shocks to go with at first i was thinking rancho or skyjacker then i saw how everyone on threads were talking about the 5100s

    You're gonna notice a difference if yours are that old. I run my truck pretty hard on rough terrain a lot and I'm very happy with my 5100s - I have 885 coils on them, which helps.

    If you're going to be buying new shocks anyways I'd say you can't go wrong with the 5100's. Just don't expect insane improvements from ~hundred dollar shocks.

    get the 5100's, i noticed a nice difference between 9k mile old stock billies and the 5100's..... a stock billie at 102k miles is about 60k miles past being replaced....

    Yes they are well overdue so I would say I'll notice a difference and the rough country lol well ROUGH is in the name

    Have 5100's on my truck and it rides just fine,not hard at all,cant be beat for $300 all the way around.

    Just did my 5100's and 884 coils today with nice new strut top hats and superbumps in the front. Soaks up bumps like a dream now with my plate bumper, cant wait to do the rear. No more head rattling bottoming out since theres more travel in the 5100's, also way less body roll. 10/10 reccomend

    Superbumps definitely make a huge difference on the hard hits. I love mine.

    Cant beat em for 55 bucks! Cut that hex key a bit shorter and it went pretty smooth! Just make sure you use alot of PB or they snap in the frame :rolleyes:

    I had all 4 tires in the air a couple days ago and it landed like it was on pillows.
