Drunken goof-ups haha. About 13 years ago my (then) girlfriend had just finished yelling at me for drinking too much beer. I had just finished installing new brake pads on my '03, and I decided to park it outside of the garage (minutes after our argument). I forgot to pump the brakes before reversing and I drove right through my garage door. I still keep in touch with her and she still brings this up just about every time I speak with her. There was just no explaining that one.

You were drunk enough to put diesel in your Tacoma, but sober enough to realize the mistake and call a tow truck?

    This can't be real.

A short story related to this.. We have on-site fuel tanks at my work. Well supposedly, fuel delivery driver hit the wrong lever or grabbed the wrong hose and topped off our 2000 gallon gasoline tank with diesel. I had trucks coming to the shop all day, with workers complaining about their vehicle running rough and smoking. I called the fuel vendor and the rep came out to take a sample for analysis. A short while later he called apologizing and promised reimbursement for any parts and labor needed to correct their mistake.

Yes, I am assuming resposability for what I did, I will pay for all labor and cost because his is my friend and is the right thing to do. Sorry, I just asked for help, just to get his Tacoma running as soon as possible, but some people instead are blaming me, I know what I did wrong I just want to fix it.!!!

Don't get too worked up kid, it's just the fam giving you a bunch of shit. There's not a single one of us here that hasn't done something stupid while drunk. Loard knows I've personally made enough drunken mistakes for at least 100 of us. (Which is why I quit drinking) I commend you for taking responsibility for your actions, and finding a solution to fix the problem. What's done is done, and no one can ask anything more of you. In the long run it's all fixable, and I'd bet you'll never do it again. Besides down the road when the wounds aren't so fresh you'll have a good story.
