I use OEM only. Toyota makes a great filter.

if it fits, and it meets manufacturer's specs, why not? No different then Fram, or any other aftermarket filter...

I bought the truck from a Ford dealership. Didn't see a need to replace it before my first oil change. I'm coming up on 3 months, so an oil change is due.

I use a Napa Gold 1515 which is a WIX 51515. Meets and Exceeds all filtration requirements for our trucks. Same filter as that Motorcraft (not internally but physically)

That oil filter will cause accelerated brake pad wear.

I'd bet it's a pretty decent filter. Ford's probably not going to use a junk filter as OEM on their vehicles.

I just ordered 20 of these filters. Also putting a plexiglass panel in my hood so everyone can see it.

PLUS my Wife has a Jeep and I like Fords

Mopar makes a good filter for the 1GR as well, it's plain white with blue lettering though.

(except 213) They are shared like most filters with a shit ton of other vehicles.

Toyotas are the best, pure black, nice and simple.

Plus we can run a smaller D1 filter if we needed to for clearance!
