    Been on a budget for 8 years in school. Guess I prioritize my life different than others but when looking at the consequences of a bj failure (gotta love it), not spending $100 is a little hard for me to understand. That's the difference between making sandwiches for a month and eating McDonalds. Not buying the penny pinching here - perhaps 1/100 people couldn't afford oem ball joints if they planned their maintenance and budgeted their spending. I just bought a blown up engine to rebuild so I'm not on the buying-expensive-is-always-best train.

    I just don't buy the financial excuse. People don't want to spend the money? I get it because priorities. Can't afford it eh? That's gotta be hard to justify. It's not like this is make believe - @Dirty Pool took these apart and saw the difference in how they're made. I'd like to throw an extra $100 at something else, yet my safety is #1 right up there with reliability. The few unlucky folks who genuinely couldn't afford it are probably not cruising this forum on their smart phones.

    Word. But I understand the mindset of the opposing view. Some get luckier than others with their 555 aftermarket LBJs. Just a better chance of not being dependent on as much luck with the OEM.

    My wife's a penny pincher when it comes to buy things. I mentioned buying OEM balljoints she balked. I should her a picture of a ball joint faliure and dirtypools pictures. She couldn't fork over the CC fast enough.
    At that time i had just started doing mods on my Taco. I had no idea about balljoint issues until joining TW. 230k on original joints with about 1/8 of movement in my original ones.

    The cheapest I could find the bolts were a $1.28. Anybody find the OEM bolts any cheaper?

    I completely understand what you're saying. People's priorities and budget all differ. It also depends on what's happening at that moment in the person's life. Sometimes shit happens, and you have to do what you have to do. And if it means driving with Moog ball joints or not driving at all, Moog will have to do.

    Thanks man, I found this part number #9008010066 not sure if it's for the bolts for our trucks. I checked on one link and it said it won't fit my truck. On the other it said it will so not sure.

    I got 15% off during black friday. They've kept me coming back hoping for a discount, but yeah them and Camelback which I think may give a TW discount are great to deal with.

    I still own 2 Jeeps, both with moog balljoints. Both with front, rear lockers fully built off road machines.

    I also mentioned we run MOOG upper and lower ball joints in BITD desert racing. JEEPSPEED class.

    First thing I did when I bought my truck is upgrade all suspension, including lower ball joints (uppers CA's are ICON uni-ball). So my tacoma being the one of 4 vehicles with MOOG is the less driven. That being said, I have put right at 20k miles on them in the past year.

    All 4 vehicles using MOOG are well over the claimed 10k mile mark.

    Also, if you google tacoma lower ball joint failures, you will find many pics of OEM Toyota joints failing and coming completely apart. I am not bashing them, and know they had a recall, but I have yet to see one that had to do with MOOG.
