I have a 2005 Tacoma access cab long bed.

I've just moved to Germany and I'm trying to find a product to prevent snow buildup in the bed so I'm not hauling a bunch of extra weight.

Would anything like this be available in Germany? I could have it shipped here from the states but I would prefer not to.

Any advise on what I should get will be appreciated.

Some extra weight in the back on snowy roads is a good thing.

Plenty of tonneau purchase options out there, don't know about in Germany.

A loooong time ago I built a plywood tonneau for a Toyota mini-truck - some 2x2s for the frame, added hinges, and locks/latches. Design was basically the same as today's tri-fold tonneaus. Painted it black and it did the job. Wasn't as pretty as the new tonneaus but it was cheap. Slept under that thing on the hard bed more times than I can count. 'Course I was a young man then...

I have been out here in Germany for nearly 5 years.. I haven't ever seen enough snow fall to cause much buildup. I'm out of the kaiserslautern area though, are you up North or something with more snowfall?
