    Toyota recommends 5-20 for the 08 2.7.

    Never used this before.

    What are people using?

5w20,or 0w20 will supposedly yield better mileage, but i think tis perfectly fine to use 5w30. use the 5w20 if you would like....per the manual, it wont hurt anything as thats what is called for.

Stick with the 5w-20. Yes, its better for the fuel economy, but the engine needs a thinner oil. The Variable valve timing system on your motor is controled by oil pressure. Running a thicker oil, i.e. 5w-30 or whatever, could hinder its performance significantly. :)

The 4.0 and the 3.4 are fine with that weight, but I think sticking with the 5w-20 in the 2.7 is a better idea.
