I've been trying to monitor how I place my foot (shoe) on the brake pedal and noticed something else. For normal braking, if you just rotate your foot over and press on the right area of the braking pedal, you'll be fine. But like I mentioned above, during a panic brake, slamming down quickly on it with the ball of your foot in the center area or a bit to the left, you'll hit it for sure.

I also might be sitting a bit too close too so I tend to use more of my foot on the both pedals. There is room to slide back but the steering wheel becomes too far.

    I'll take a pic soon.

I heel/toe drive so it hasn't been an issue. Even with a size 12 in any footwear combo. I can recall several panic stop scenarios in traffic and not had an issue or scare yet.

    Ok, here are the pics.
1st one, no foot but to show the marks I hit
2nd one, if you step on the right egde (normal slow brake) you're ok but close (pedal not being pushed too far down)
3rd one, if you brake fast, your foot will most likely land on the center of the pedal, you'll hit it.
    4th one, cloesed up

Note that I didn't push the brake that far down like in an emergency situation, just enough to touch the boot and you are looking at size 8 shoe. Now if you slide your foot back and only use the tip part of your shoe and roll it downward you can avoid it too. But will you do react the same way when you slam on your brake.

I think it's the alarm reset. When you decline alarm option, all they do is to plug in a device to turn it off and I assume the actual alarm is still in in the car. Or they turn off an extra feature that is part of the car's alarm base system.

So if you decline the option and they say they have to uninstall the alarm they just want to scare you. It's so symple to turn it off and the base system is still there. Actually may be there is an after market device to turn it back on. Alarm system is the last thing I care.
