60+ year old thread.

Apparently this year we skipped spring and went right to 80* blue skies and friendly clouds.
My grass is already underwatered and drying out, but this sandy soil...and calling it soil is generous...is murder on grasses. Except where you don't want it to grow.
Fishing day tomorrow, maybe I can catch the second-stupidest fish in the lake, #1 got caught last week.

 

If I could, I would gladly send you some of our rain. It's been raining so much, I started talking with a British accent. Good luck with fishing Joe.

 

Just watch if you say, "hey Yank, how about a fag", that might get you in trouble nowdays! Heard that more than once!
OH, and please don't start driving on the wrong side of the road!

Evening all:
I saw that article Ken, amazing what some "evasive" fish can be caught on.
Years ago a buddy and I ran out of bait but had a McDonalds Rodeo Burger that he was going to eat later on. We started catching channel catfish on pieces of it that we used for bait!
I can see it all now, there will be a big hook through the center of a chicken nugget with legs sticking out of the rear of the nugget, and there will be an unexplained shortage of chicken nuggets in Maine!

Morning Joe, Not if you don't get caught . I've used Wrigleys chewing gum to catch cat fish. Surprisingly it worked.
