What high flow cats did you go with? link?

 

Honestly, not sure.....it's a shop that does nothing but Subarus....I had some stock cats with me but the owner talked me into some high flow stainless ones for 150 a piece. I know they know what they are doing so I said have at it....I'll find out what specific brand and I'll let you know.

 

Anyone here have the k&n intake with their supercharger? I thought I heard not all intakes work with supercharger

 

Generally we stay away from the oiled filters. Potential to foul the MAF.

 

Well I've been running mine for quite a while now but I'm just wondering if I need to buy a new intake or not.

To add to what Thomas said, oil filters are for map based systems, whereas non oiled are for maf based systems. It is the industry standard.

 

Just got the URD 7th injector kit installed on my truck yesterday, feels like a brand new vehicle I'm guessing this is what the 5VZE supercharger was supposed to feel like all along. Before I would ping like crazy going up any sort of incline while in boost, sometimes even just cruising around town it would ping. The out-of-the-box results from the kit are very impressive to say the least, for me anyway.

Now I need to start talking myself into the smaller pulley....

 

Into should be pretty easy. Out of is where it becomes challenging.

 

Mileage take a big drop? I think that mine gets better mileage with the smaller pulley. However, the right foot still can't leave the pedal alone. Been driving my FJ80 lately. It wins no races. Calms me down. Turn on the 70's music and just cruise.

 

Still on the first tank of gas since I got it installed but should know soon....based on what I'm seeing though it looks to be about the same, maybe even a little better because I've been pretty heavy on the throttle after the install. A few months ago my mileage took a pretty significant dump for no apparent reason so I'm wondering if maybe the new spark plugs and fuel pump in the kit helped out some? After I run a couple of tanks of gas through it and calculate the mileage I'll know for sure.

 

My MAF was throwing a p0101 error two days after having a K&N oiled filter installed as part of my Magnuson S/C kit. There were also some issues with shifting, and a terrible drop in gas mileage. I've since cleaned the sensor and went with a dry filter.

Fuel performance shot up immediately from 15mpg to 21. That's calculated at the pump, the old fashioned way, rather than relying on sensor data.

Even though I still need to monitor my A/F for other issues, the cleaning seems to have cleared up all of my problems. I would not recommend using an oiled filter. At least not with a Tacoma.

 

Well.....got my truck back with the additions I had done......WOW!!!! what an improvement. Totally different truck....

 

Yeah the oiled filters are no good...had one on my older 99 Tacoma and it ruined my MAF sensor. Stock or washable pro dry filter is the way to go, I have the AFE drop in one.

 

2.825 pulley, walbro 255 fuel pump, DT shorties with high flow cats. Also, slapped on a goodyear gator belt and replaced the Toyota stock belt.

 

Also, I was planning initially on putting stock cats on the shorties. I purchased a set of stock manifolds/cats from a member with only 14 thousand miles if I remember correctly. They will be up for sale shortly. If anyone wants them let me know.....

How does it sound with the headers and cats? Did you find out what cats you used?

 

Vibrant high flows are what was installed. They seem to have decent reviews so that makes me happy. As far as sound, it definitely brings out a little more deeper rumble without being to obnoxious. I wanted it a little louder and that's exactly what I got
