Vibration between 110 - 120 kms/hr

    Hi,
    I have a 2012 4x4 Tacoma TRD; at 94,000 kms, transmission had a normal maintenance (oil change, etc). Now its 113,000 kms, and yesterday I perceived that between 110 - 120 kms/hr, there is a vibration felt only with acceleration pushed. If I release accelerator, vibration is not there. So, is not related to tires... Its something mechanical resonating at those speeds. At 130 Kms/hr or more, no problem.
    What can it be?

    spark plugs, wheel bearings, shaved pinon gears, axle shaft yaddayadda. honestly could be so many things. I would just go get it checked out.

    That's kind of weird. Especially since it is not showing up until you get that fast.

    try to determine if its exactly that speed sensitive or if its Rpm sensitive. put it in fourth and see if it does it at the same relative rpms. I have something very similar, but its rpm sensitive, It does it in all gears at about 1800 to 2200 rpms. But is most noticeable in 5th. So to me that rules out any driveshaft issues. Driveshaft issues should be speed sensitive I would think. so far haven't found a fix, and nobody seems to have a clue.

    Yesterday I tested it on road; seems to be speed sensitive; I better sensed it and vibration starts around 90, peaks at 100-110, and after 125-130 it vanishes. Releasing accelerator in vivration speed range, it disappears. If I push a bit the accelerator, vibration clearly comes back.

    A friend that had a Tacoma 2008, mentioned that he perceived something similar, After changing transmission and differential oils, problem fixed. In mine, I changed transmission oil not long ago; differential, had never maintained it, and don'rt know if previous owner did it (I have had this truck for about 2 years).

    This part (Center Bearing - Toyota (37230-0K030)) was broken:

    The center rubber was broken. The whole traction tube (sorry, don't know the name of that part in English; in Spanish its named "flecha" (arrow) and goes from the transmission gear box, to the back traction), was loose.


    The part was changed by Toyota Dealer (kind of expensive component) and... the vibration was eliminated.
