The reason behind this thread is this one here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-molle-type-panel.493428/page-3#post-15262408

A friend of mine and I are going to be making these for tacomas. Already in the R&D phase for the back doors and back glass of the ACCESS CAB and will be coming into the market within a month we hope!

My questions to you guys is what do you carry in your back seats when you go offroad? Or what do you store in a box in the bed that you would rather store where it is more readily available in the back seat for you to grab instead?

Would you be open to drilling 3-5 small holes in inconspicuous places to mount these for load bearing purposes?

What kind of weight do you want to see these be able to hold?

What kind of features do you want these to have... i.e: a flip down or flip out hinge to be used as a platform for a table or a swing hinge to open like a door to store things that are thinner behind to gain even more storage?

For those with an access cab we have a handle in the back doors below the window... would you want a hole to be able to use that handle still or would you want some paracord grab handles or maybe some porsche style pull cloth handles?

What color would you want your panel to be?

No thats a GB thread which is going to go into affect here in the next 2 weeks or so. This thread is to find out what you carry in your truck for further R&D.

I just went through that thread and its titled "feeler thread" which is what this thread basically is haha. Why make another thread when the original thread is basically what this thread is lol. Sorry not sorry.

    This is a great idea!
I have an access cab and would definitely be interested in helping you get to a finished product.

Currently in my cab I keep a small shovel, an ARB snatch strap, gloves, A couple of clevis/shackes, A good amount of first aid supplies, zip ties, small socket set, screwdrivers, wire snips, the list goes on.

It is a lot of stuff, but I prefer it in the cab where it is easy to get to rather than in the bed of the truck.

As for the handle on the access door, I wouldn't mind if that was covered as long as there was a para cord or something to pull on to close it.

Also, I would love to have these inside the slider windows on the sides of my camper/topper. That would add some convenient storage as well as help deter anyone from breaking in

I carry extra fuel, water, air compressor, assorted tools, straps, zip ties, bungee cords, flashlights, flares, etc. I have a big tote in the back of the truck that I store all sorts of stuff in. I probably carry more than I should or need, but better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
