I'll probably end up doing new suspension I just don't know which way I should go with it yet.

That was my plan... and I couldn't decide what I wanted, but I really needed some damn tires. So I made it work.

Project Memorial Day was a success!

I ended up getting a best 'basic' utility trailer I could find. Off the lot, it had a better tongue design than others in the price range and had 3500# Dexter axle. Got some 1 1/2" square tube and a neighbor helped me weld the supports for the RTT. It needs a lift badly LOL but the trailer was awesome and it really wasn't that noticeable towing it. Gas mileage didn't take a big hit. Wife loved having a lower load floor and being able to separate the tent from truck. It won't be the expedition trailer build, but it'll be the 'perfect for me and my family's needs build'. I'm going to think about how I want to upgrade. I was thinking of putting on matching wheels with the truck but since it's a utility trailer, I think it would look cartoonish.

Thanks @velillen @northwesttaco @Capt. Obvious @McMash and @AWilson013 for chiming in with the suggestions. That first trailer I posted a picture of wouldn't have done me right.

Not sure how I missed this, Alex. Thanks! Looking for some new tires this week before I work on gearing and locker. Gotta make sure I'm ready for any snow runs

Didn't get to do too much "off roading" this weekend, but the drive up to Chelan Butte is gorgeous.

Also, if you have a reckless disregard for your paint, you can drive from Cle Elum to almost Snoqualmie pass without taking I-90.

It looks good but, for me, matching rims and wheels are a necessity.
You never know when you will have to put another wheel back on after it comes off....

Im pretty sure I still have the stock unit still. Ill try to remember to pull the box of random truck parts down to verify tonight.

Turned out great. Plus Im sure itll be nice to have a basis to go on when you decide what the more permanent version will be :)

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I'd appreciate it. Want to get the truck close to normal.

I use that route frequently when traffic is fubar. You'd be amazed how many people drag their campers or motor homes through there.

I passed this one night last year when I skirted holiday traffic. Someone's gray/black water dump hose that fell off on the via kachees road. Also a burnt up groomer on the ski slope. Notice the brake lights eastbound. I didn't really care how long it took me as I enjoyed the detour more than sitting in traffic.

Which route do you take? I know there are a couple options. I did the route where you take Westside Road out of Cle Elum, then hop on 90 at exit 74, then hop back off at Sparks Road and take that to U-fish/4823.

What route is this? I heard you could do the bypass from around Kachess lake, but didn't know you could do it from Cle Elum.

Its a very small amount more than a key+fob for a taco.

I am writing this from the waiting area of lexus of bellvue while i drink a free latte, eat a free muffin, use free wifi and sit on a leather couch in front of a flatscreen tv and a fireplace. I paid $100 for an oil change with full synthetic, fluids topped, tires rotated, free car wash and a free tank of gas (Chevron premium). I will probably never purchase another brand of car.

Yep, that's the way I run. There's a point where you'll need to access the highway at turtle town/Easton Sparks.

If the gate is open at the summit, you can literally get off 90EB at tinkham/ 42, and take back roads to Easton. You can traverse the ski hill on maintenance roads and you'll end up at hyak.
